FAITH DEVELOPMENT:
As a Catholic school in the Jesuit tradition, U of D Jesuit’s mission is to form “Men for Others” for the Greater Glory of God and live out the Gospel message through faith and service. Students are required to take Theology each semester and live out our shared faith through optional daily Mass, monthly all-school Masses, daily prayer, and community service. Retreats and reflections are offered at each grade level, culminating in our Kairos retreat senior year. Community service is a hallmark for U of D Jesuit, as we partner with organizations, such as Focus: HOPE and Gleaners Food Bank throughout the year. Our service program is highlighted by our Senior Service program which has been a staple at U of D Jesuit since 1971. Our seniors spend 14 Wednesdays throughout the school year volunteering at soup kitchens, food pantries, schools, or medical facilities for an entire day and living out our mission. We aim to form young men who will be intellectually competent, religious, loving, open to growth, and committed to doing justice.
